Mythic Entertainment / EA Mythic (world artist)
March 2004 – April 2009 (5 years 2 months)
During my time at Mythic I shipped 2 games, Warhammer Online, and the Darkness Rising expansion for Dark age of Camelot. I also worked for over a year on the cancelled science fiction MMO Imperator .
Some of my tasks during my time at Mythic included
- Creating Hundreds of environment models and textures, ranging from science fiction to fantasy.
- Creating high polygon objects for normal map generation
- Assisting with level design and layout of game zones, with an emphasis on entertaining and interesting game play mechanics
- Assisting in creation of work flow guidelines for our normal map process on Imperator
- Producing Quality work in a fashion that meets deadlines and tech constraints
Ncsoft (freelance artist)
February 2006 – March 2006 (2 months)
During this time I worked as a remote contract artist on the game Dungeon Runners. During this time my tasks on the project included
- Modeling and texturing a large amount of in game weapons and several texture variants of each one
- Creating a large assortment of hair and facial hair for use in character creation
Liquid Development (environment and character art / in house and freelance artist)
March 2002 – March 2004 (2 years)
I worked Freelance for one year for liquid before I was invited to join the team fulltime.
While working at this art resource company I was responsible for
- Creating character art and / or environment art for numerous games such as: Sims 2, Ultima Online, Ultima X, Enter the Matrix and Swat 4,
- Working under a multitude of different art directors and lead artist
- Assisting in level design and game play decisions
Computer skills
- Expert knowledge of 3d studio Max
- Expert Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
- Good knowledge of Zbrush
- Basic knowledge of Mudbox
